He framed his first house at 18 years old and later wrote The Roof Framer’s Bible, a trusted resource in the industry. He’s owned our 40-acre homestead in Georgia since the 1980s, where he built the family home from the ground up. His expertise ensures these plans are practical, efficient, and built to last.
I’m Natalie—the former ICU nurse, homeschooling mom, and chicken keeper behind Cotton River Farm. I grew up on this land and returned in 2020, when my daughter’s love for chickens reignited my passion for raising animals. When our flock needed a simple, affordable, and low-maintenance coop, my dad and I designed the hoop coop—a solution now trusted by 2,000+ chicken keepers.
